Step into the World of English Country Design
Thyme – the two Michelin Key hotel and creative home of Bertioli by Thyme – invites guests behind the scenes to discover some of the very best of English country design and craftsmanship.
This winter marks an exciting new chapter at Thyme, with the unveiling of Oak, our new suite, the opening of the Secret Sauna Garden at Meadow Spa, and the launch of Primrose, a new Bertioli design within our Woodland Habitat collection.
During your stay, you are invited to a celebratory feasting dinner hosted by Thyme founder Caryn Hibbert, marking the launch of Primrose and the unveiling of Oak. Joined by her friend and renowned designer Sophie Conran, Caryn will share the creative journey behind the new suite, where Bertioli patterns and Sophie’s furniture come together through a shared love of nature, pattern and the English home.
Throughout the retreat, guests will also have the opportunity to sign up for a curated programme of design experiences, offering privileged access to private homes, studios and workshops. Meet leading designers, collectors and makers through founder-led experiences with Lorfords, Lorfords Contemporary and Brownrigg, alongside an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the Lewis & Wood mill.
Stay a little longer to embrace the slower rhythm of life at Thyme and discover the newly opened Secret Sauna Garden at Meadow Spa. Guests booking an additional night will receive a complimentary Meadow Spa treatment.

What are the dates of the post-event experiences?
Design Destination London takes place January 18-20, 2027, with the Closing Celebration held the evening of Wednesday, January 20. Optional post-event experiences begin on Thursday, January 21, following the conclusion of the event.
How do we reserve a room(s) at one of the post-event properties?
On October 2, registered attendees of Design Destination London received an email with exclusive access and booking links to reserve the optional post-event experiences at Country Creatures and Thyme.
What is the cost to participate in the post-event experiences?
All booking arrangements, rates and payments are managed directly through the participating properties, Country Creatures and Thyme.
What is the booking deadline for the post-event experiences?
Country Creatures and Thyme anticipate high demand and expect the properties to reach full capacity. While accommodations will remain available based on inventory, we encourage guests to reserve early.
The deadline to book experiences at Country Creatures is October 30, 2026.
Is there a waitlist if properties fill?
Country Creatures and Thyme plan to maintain waitlists should they reach capacity.
What is included in the post-event experience?
Hosted by Country Creatures and Thyme, these optional experiences are designed to provide a relaxing and inspiring extension to Design Destination London. Programming includes artist and maker workshops, design-led local excursions, local culinary experiences and more.

Is the post-event experience the same as a private session?
No. Private sessions are offered January 18 and 20, part of the official DDL event programming. Private sessions do not have a cost associated with them. Preview the sessions here. Session registration opens in November for First Wave attendees.
The post-event Cotswolds experiences begin January 21. These are optional extensions after the official event, and prices are set by Country Creatures and Thyme.
How many nights are included or recommended?
Each property requires a two-night minimum stay. Additional nights are welcome and may be added based on availability. All reservations are arranged directly with the participating properties.
How many rooms are available to book?
All bookings are handled directly through Country Creatures and Thyme. Due to the intimate nature of the properties, availability is limited. Reservations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and managed directly through Country Creatures and Thyme.
Are spouses or guests allowed to participate in the post-event experience?
Yes, the optional post-event experiences are open to any Design Destination London registered attendee and their spouse(s) and/or guest(s).
Please note that spouses or guests are not eligible to attend the official Design Destination London event (January 18-20) unless they meet specific criteria.
Is transportation provided from London to the properties?
Country Creatures and Thyme can recommend transportation from London, please inquire with the property you have chosen.
What is the cancellation policy for the optional post-event experiences?
Design Destination London does not manage post-event reservations or cancellations. All booking policies, payment terms, and cancellation policies are determined by and handled directly by the participating properties.
