Flying In

London-Heathrow (LHR) is the main London airport, and likely the best option for international travelers. 

To reach central London, take the underground Heathrow Express Train from the airport to Paddington Station (about 16 minutes) or taxi in (about 35 minutes).

New to the 2027 event, attendees can extend their stay with an optional post-event retreat to the Cotswolds. Hosted by Country Creatures and Thyme, this offering provides an idyllic setting to recharge with curated programming—from artist and maker workshops to design-led local excursions—ensuring inspiration continues beyond the event.

Although not part of the official Design Destination London event, attendees will receive complimentary tickets to the Winter 2027 Decorative Fair. At the fair, discover a unique and inspiring collection of antiques from a wide range of dealers.

The Weather

London’s weather in January hovers around 4–9°C (that’s about 40–48°F), so don your woolly hat, drink plenty of tea, and be prepared for cold temperatures!

As of January 8 2025, US citizens entering the UK must apply for and receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to travel.

If you are attending Design Destination London on January 18-20 2027, you should apply for an ETA.
