The Ancient Art of Hand Embroidery

Join us in a unique celebration of craftsmanship and heritage in our Pimlico Road Showroom.

This year, we are proud to present two events revealing the timeless technique of hand embroidery, brought to life by one of our master embroiderers from India.

Embracing authenticity and tradition, Chelsea Textiles’s master craftsman, in a mesmerising demonstration, will employ the many different techniques that are required to create the gamut of stitches of this intricate and ancient craft.

Leave the city behind and journey with us through the rolling British countryside to our Foundry and Workshop on the East Sussex coast, where craftsmanship meets the sea. Meet our passionate local makers, designers, and engineers as they guide you through this working Foundry, where every stage of creation unfolds beneath one roof — from pattern making, lost wax and sand casting to CNC machining, patination, finishing, and wiring. Feel the glowing warmth of the furnace and the steady rhythm of the workshop as raw brass is transformed into sculptural lighting, furniture, and hardware — each piece meticulously shaped with care and skill. One Day Only — a unique opportunity to experience British craftsmanship at its source.

Formed by Hand: A Bespoke Pattern Making Workshop with Collier Webb​​

Inspired by our coastal Sussex Foundry, this morning session invites you to join Collier Webb’s makers and designers for a hands-on experience. Led by our Pattern Maker, learn the fundamentals of clay sculpting to create a pattern and contribute to a collaborative sculpture that evolves throughout morning. Arrive to the ritual of a British breakfast, freshly brewed tea and coffee with toasted crumpets and jam, before exploring the traditional techniques behind our fully customizable lighting, furniture and hardware. A very special chance to step into the maker’s mindset and connect with the craft behind every commission.

Cox London Presents Hinterlands: The Nature Within - The Nature Without​

Join Cox London for a preview of much-anticipated new works. Finding inspiration amidst the urban sprawl of North East London, the studio presents an otherworldly collision of mythic folk art, superstition, and bucolic idealism in a new collection of works, staged in a unique industrial setting. The preview will be accompanied by a tour of the atelier, the chance to meet the artisans at work, lunch, and one or two intriguing stories from Chris and Nicola Cox.

de Gournay Porcelain Odyssey​

An invitation to discover the rarely seen world of de Gournay’s hand-painted porcelain, ‘Porcelain Odyssey’ brings each stage of our craft to life with live demonstrations, historical displays, and video storytelling. Spanning multiple rooms transformed into immersive ateliers, visitors can explore the origins of de Gournay’s designs, witness centuries-old techniques in action, and even try their hand at porcelain painting. A celebration of artistry, heritage, and hands-on discovery, this is a unique opportunity to experience the full scope of de Gournay’s porcelain craft.

Fermoie Studio, Print, Lampshades & Accessories Tour

Visit the Home of Fermoie for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. Located in the historic market town of Marlborough, approximately an hour and three quarters outside of London and surrounded by the beautiful English countryside, this is where every Fermoie product is designed and made, offering a truly immersive experience into our artistry and craftsmanship.

Accompanied by directors Jamie Shawcross and Charlie Sharpley, your visit will include a guided tour of our creative studio and print factory, where you will discover how our designs evolve from the initial hand-drawn line to printing. You will also see lampshades and accessories being meticulously handmade by the team in our specialist workshop. As a final treat, you will be among the first to view our forthcoming Spring/Summer 2026 collection – a wonderful insight into what’s next for Fermoie.

From Loom to Legacy: A Tour Inside Gainsborough, Britain's Historic Weaving Mill

Step inside the story of British textile excellence with an exclusive visit to Gainsborough’s Mill in Sudbury. This unique experience will take guests beyond the showroom and into the very fabric of British design. Founded in 1903, the mill still weaves silk on century-old looms and proudly holds the Royal Warrant, prestigious recognition for its service to the British Royal Household. Guests will follow the journey of fabric through winding, warping and weaving, witnessing time-honoured skills in action. A specialist Archivist will share treasures from the 7,000-piece in-house design archive, linking past design to the present. The day concludes in a picturesque medieval setting, celebrated for its historic charm, where guests will enjoy a seasonal meal.

Steele Marcoux and Hector Finch Lighting host a private tour at The Sir John Soane’s Museum

Hector Finch Lighting and Sir John Soane’s Museum have worked in partnership for 11 years and recently launched the second of two designs that were sympathetically inspired by Soane’s work and hang in the museum today. In this exclusive private tour with the museum’s Director Will Gompertz, discover the extraordinary house and museum of Sir John Soane, one of the greatest English architects, who built and lived in it two centuries ago. The museum has been kept as it was at the time of his death in 1837 and displays his vast collection of antiquities, furniture, sculptures, architectural models and paintings.

The tour will be followed by an informal light lunch in the setting of London’s largest public square, the historic Lincoln’s Inn Fields.

Hector Finch Lighting present a private tour of Sir John Soane’s Museum

With a passion to build and maintain relationships with traditional family-owned businesses, hear the highs and lows of their journeys around the world sourcing the specialist crafts people who collaborate to produce their eponymous lighting collection today. Emma and Hector will introduce highlights of their collection and give a personal summary of the brand’s capabilities to collaborate on your projects.

Step inside the bespoke world of Savile Row, St. James’s and Mayfair with Holland & Sherry for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour honoring centuries-old British master craftsmanship. This rare experience offers an intimate look into the world of luxury tailored clothing and accessories, its artistry and heritage and those that keep these precious and rare skills alive today.

She will take you through some of the new pieces and show how her archive inspires the collections. We will then sit down to a delicious dinner.

Light Breakfast and In Conversation with Nina, Max & Alice on "working as a family"​

We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday morning for a light breakfast and a panel discussion on working as a family with Nina, Max and Alice in conversation. We will speak on the subject of the Business of Family/Families in Business. We will also include a guided tour of our showroom and both interior and textile studios upstairs and give an insight into the archive and other workings of our buzzy studio.

Discover Furniture and Lighting Made Beautifully with PINCH

Join founders Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon in our London studio. Delve into the PINCH design process with a studio tour, design demonstration and a hands-on workshop. Every piece in our collection begins as a model in miniature and attendees can experience this element of our creative process by designing and finishing their own paper-weight sized maquette to take home. The Monday session will feature afternoon Tea and Tuesday guests will enjoy a light breakfast. 

Porta Romana Immersive Tour: Handcrafted British Lighting and Furniture Maker

You will be transported to Porta Romana’s studio in the beautiful Surrey countryside and immersed in a unique behind-the-scenes tour. Experience the artistry of sculpting, casting, lampshade making and decorative hand-painted finishes. Porta Romana’s design team will share their product development process, showcasing customization and the creation of bespoke pieces that grace the world’s most beautiful interiors. You will experience the skill of their lampshade studio and discover how different linings effect the light output and ambiance. Join skilled artisans in the painting studio to learn about their detailed hand-painted finishes, and even gold leaf your own sculpted bird to cherish as a keepsake. You will then be treated to lunch at The Anchor, a local 17th-century inn.

Highgrove by Sanderson + Tour of Voysey House - The Home of Sanderson

Begin your afternoon with an exclusive introduction to the Highgrove by Sanderson collection, inspired by the rich biodiversity of Highgrove Gardens, the private residence of His Majesty King Charles III. Meet the designers who brought the collection to life and hear how each design draws from the natural beauty of the gardens and supports The King’s Foundation—promoting education, sustainability and heritage craft. Explore the historic Voysey House and the Sanderson archive of over 65,000 pieces before concluding the session with a paper floral workshop recreating The King’s Rose, a David Austin variety created in honour of His Majesty and featured in the collection.

Morris & Co. x The Huntington - The Unfinished Works + Zoffany x Michael Smith

Step into the world of William Morris at Voysey House and explore a remarkable archive of original Morris & Co. artworks. Meet the designers behind The Unfinished Works, a collaboration with The Huntington that completes Morris’s unfinished patterns for a new generation. Then take part in a hands-on block printing workshop using original Morris woodblocks. Finally, enjoy an exclusive preview of Zoffany SS26 with Lead Designer Peter Gomez, unveiling a new collaboration with Michael Smith: high-performance textiles for refined, enduring interiors. Lunch served to go. 

Sanderson Design Group: Anstey Wallpaper Company Tour + Michelin Star Lunch

Travel from London to Anstey Wallpaper Company, a heritage manufacturer behind Sanderson, Morris & Co., and many leading interior brands. Discover the full wallpaper-making process—from hand-block to digital—and meet the design and production teams behind it. Interior designers will also have the chance to discuss bespoke opportunities or future collaborations. Enjoy a seasonal lunch at John’s House, a Michelin-starred restaurant set in a 16th-century farmhouse. The day concludes with return transport to London.

Join Christine Van Der Hurd and Rita Konig in conversation celebrating the beauty of bespoke and the distinctive character it brings to interiors. 

Just as a couture gown transforms fashion, custom textiles and embroideries can elevate a space with individuality and artistry. With her expert eye and creative sensibility, Christine has designed and produced textiles and rugs for some of the world’s leading designers and architects.

Interior designers collaborate with Christine not only to create custom textiles, but to help shape the creative direction of their most important projects. Rita and Christine, frequent creative partners, push the boundaries of bespoke embroidery and rug design resulting in striking schemes and one-of-a-kind creations that reflect the essence of Vanderhurd.

A rare opportunity to meet Christine Van Der Hurd, one of the most creative minds in the industry and award-winning interior designer Nicola Harding, in conversation about the beauty of bespoke and their collaborative design process.

Christine has made textiles and rugs for some of the world’s leading designers and architects who work with her to create not only custom textiles and rugs, but to shape their most important projects. Nicola is known for her British interiors that are rich in atmosphere, with unique pieces to make each place feel personal. 

‘We pride ourselves on our inherent understanding of how important a bespoke product is. At Vanderhurd each client is given as much time, whether they’re commissioning a small carpet or a whole project for an entire house. It’s all about finding that special piece.

Designers joined Collier Webb and George Spencer Designs us in the heart of Mayfair for a Champagne Brunch at the world renowned Claridge’s Hotel. After a guided tour of bespoke projects commissioned for the hotel, designers had a chance to sit down over a private brunch and mingle with the teams behind Collier Webb and George Spencer Designs. This exclusive event was an unforgettable blend of tradition, design, and sophistication.
